We purchased a family ticket and the visit really did cater for every age.
The fantastic volunteers we met truly enhanced our visit with a lovely lady who worked in the mills as a girl. She was able to show us the machinery in operation and educate us on what life was like all those years ago.
Definitely worth a visit! -
Fascinating attraction.

Me and my 8 year old nephew had a great time. It's a fascinating, educational, fun attraction. Lily who volunteers on a Sunday demonstrated some machinery and shared some of her mill worker memories which really brought its history to life. We had a halftime break in the fabulous café. Do try to be there at 1pm when the mill hooter sounds then the Watt steam engine is powered up and a guide explains its history and workings.
