An impressive building with an impressive lounge area. Pity they don't do lunch or dinner as their breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We paid for an upgrade to our room so had a good roomy room, although a blue carpet was a bit threadbare. Sadly I forgot to mention this to staff.
My main reason for giving 3* instead of 4* is that there is no hotel parking. You park on the street or a car park about 1 km away. When it rains in Stirling you know it. Not good if you have to feed the meter. Luckily I got a space nearby, but I probably wouldn't have been lucky if it had been in the summer.
As far as I can see, the hotel has given over control of all their parking to an outside contractor who will fine you if you don't pay their dues within 30 minutes of arrival. They currently charge £15.30 per DAY. NOT CHEAP. -

Excellent location, beautiful public spaces. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean.
Expensive to park in hotel car park.
Room very small and dark, nothing like advertised. No overhead lighting! Cooked breakfast good but too few staff struggling to serve that and keep buffet supplied with bread, milk etc.
overall a disappointment.
