We had been waiting for ages to visit the Tollhouse and an Itison voucher was the perfect spur.
We were greeted by the hostess in a charming manner, we were 15 minutes early but were given a seat and a drink and taken to our table at precisely the right time.
The menu was a dedicated Itison one , but nothing was missing from the published online menu.
Starters of ham hock and artichoke appeared promptly and were demolished rapidly.
The roast was lamb, succulent and tender with a hint of pink, perfect. The veggies were cooked superbly and the roasties were crisp. All swimming in gravy so flavoursome.
Pudding was an unnecessary luxury and finished a lovely lunch.The staff were very friendly and efficient, just enough attention to serve but unobtrusive if ever present.
All in all a fantastic experience. We will return.
