Good comedy, why the wait?

Good comedy hosted by a good compere and 3 acts ranging from OK to Great. I'm not sure why you have to open the doors and be in your seats by 8:00 if it doesn't start until after 8:30. Surely you could just close the doors a few minutes before the start instead of us all sitting about wasting 30 minutes o our life.
