Had an excellent date night with my Husband. Had a three course meal and every course was piping hot and full of flavour. Staff made us feel very welcome. If return.

We all had fish, there were five of us. The fish helping was huge as was the scampi. The salad was fresh and tasty.
I felt the drinks were expensive. £4 + for a coffee, £3+ for a soft drink and £6 for a glass beer.

Visited the urban on Tuesday we are regulars there but this time on the voucher.
The Man on duty tries so hard to get things right but it’s the whole concept that’s letting it down.
Not enough staff delays with Food turning people away as waiting an hour and telling people no food.
It’s a Tuesday afternoon people come down especially for Lunch. In a sunny day. it could be so good but things are so disorganised. Waited 40 minutes and had to go and ask again.
Steak cold in a bowl folded over like a napkin no sauce it came cold, and a chicken Ceassar dry only croutons on it and hardly any sauce
. Very poor
Cmon get this right before Summer. And people will return over and over .

Really disappointed with this place. The setting and location is great and the building itself is good although as a south facing glass box an open door wouldn't haven't gone amiss.
Took 20 mins just to take a drink order. Then another 30 mins for the starters to come out, starters were good to be fair to them. Chicken skewers and prawns.
We then sat with dirty plates on the table for a further 20 minutes once finished. No one came to see if we enjoyed our starters/if any drinks were required.
The mains then came out. Steak ciabatta was a minute steak on top of a dry ciabatta. It was cold and the meat was laid across like a slab. The hot dog was out of a jar, chips were hot but seemed to be from a supermarket.
When the mains arrived we asked for the dessert straight away as we didn't have another 30 mins to wait.
Dessert came, we ate this with dirty plates on the table which no one took away. Brownies were stale and not sure what kind of ice cream it was but didn't taste like dairy. I left most of my dessert, didn't eat all of the main, but the starter was excellent.
Not sure why the service was so so poor. It didn't look like there was a manager or even an adult in the building. No one was in a hurry to do anything, no one seemed rushed off their feet and it was not the busiest I have ever seen a restaurant.
Food is was cheap, cold and poor. I won't be going back. 2 stars purely because the starter when it arrived was spot on.
