We waited ages to be seated and then when we were finally seated we were given a children’s menu. The restaurant was cold. They obviously have no interest in itison diners. The second waiter however was friendly and polite. I have been to this restaurant previously with the normal menu and enjoyed it but not this time.

4th time at Luckenbooths using Itison. Great value compared to full price however mains this time were disappointing. Starters - breaded Campbell's Black Haggis - were lovely and tasted great. Mains - Ox Cheek Pie £19 & Pan Roast Chicken £20 - were a bit tasteless. No potatoes or fries with pie, only some kale and no fries or potatoes with chicken, only some readied cabbage and small amount of butternut squash. Main courses in the past the have better and tastier. Service was great, just add some potato or fries and it would have been perfect

Staff were attentive. Nice ambience. However, the choice of meals was very disappointing! There was only a choice of 2 meat or a vegetarian (no fish either for starter or main). The sample menu is misleading as I bought this voucher thinking there would be a fish choice!

A couple more options on the menu for itison voucher holders might be good.

Had heard about it and was not disappointed, the food and service was excellent so in my opinion nothing needs to change.

Luckenbooths is in a great location, the interior is nice and the food was really good. We particularly enjoyed the Cullen skink, and the beef & vegetable pie was delicious.
