Nice room with beautiful views. Food very good with big helpings but very basic menu. Fire alarm going off at 11.20 when in bed was worrying!

On arrival asked for extra pillows never received even after a second request. Vegan dinner menu 2 choices one was a salad. Enjoyed the burgers asked to swap items to a more appetising meal, chefs allowed. Biggest problem if you need a taxi only 2 in Pitlochry last hire 8.30pm . Suggest the hotels hav a shuttle bus going round. Every 3/3 hrs people could book and pay a set price say £5 adults £1 children.

A little less rush in the restaurant at dinner and more of a choice would be good

The hotel was at the top of a big hill.and we don't drive. Also the hotel has guests who bring their dogs. The first room we had was lovely but the carpet smelt of dog and so did the bed cover and pillows I have allergies to dogs and this did not help but they changed us rooms it still smelt a bit of dog.

Public areas have been updated but bedrooms/bathrooms require refurbishment. Hotel is at the top of a very steep hill. Breakfast/dinner was good.

The customer service we received was excellent. Our room was huge, with a great view and very comfortable. All breakfast food was plentiful and tasty. We made use of the pool and leisure facilities which were a great option. The hotel bar area was very comfortable and drinks were very reasonably priced. A lovely relaxing stay.

Stayed in the upgraded superior double scenic view room and found it to be very dated, lightning was nonexistent, no hot water and the bed was broken. Complained to receptionist and he didn’t care. Don’t waste your money in booking this hotel.

Our room was a bit small but adequate. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with some items cold. However we did have a nice time and staff were great.

The exterior of the hotel promises more than the interior delivers. We upgraded to a superior room with views. We had a sitting room as well as bedroom and bathroom. The views were lovely but the furnishing let it down. There was one picture in the sitting area but none at all in the bedroom leaving it looking pretty stark. Wardrobe and tables could look more modern and cheerful with a lick of paint. The bed had a wooden shelf like frame which took a little getting used to not to hurt myself getting in and out. It too would look better painted imo. The bathroom looked more up to date though the heated towel rail didn’t heat. The room itself was warm when we arrived as the sun was beating in and the radiator was on. Overnight it cooled considerably, no surprise since it was winter with snow on the hills. The hotel is obviously aware the room takes a bit to heat as there was already an extra heater in the room. We had dinner first night and the food was good if a little swift, three courses in under an hour. Buffet breakfast was good though a wee bit more choice for those that like continental breakfast would be good.
The pool was great though the showers there really need an overhaul. We sat in the bar for a nightcap both nights and made use of its library of games, a nice wee plus. Staff were fine and pleasant.
I had to tick “no” I wouldn’t stay here again as there is no “maybe” box. I would stay if the issues I mentioned were acted upon though I guess the cost would increase.
