Afternoon tea was nice. The pool was quite cool and so was the treatment room. The back massage was ok, but the facial didn’t involve much. I don’t think I had the full 25 minutes

Loved this spa day as nice, quiet and tranquil.Even had my very first massage by the male Masseur and it was probably one of the best massages I have ever had and made to feel very comfortable.Even loved the sauna which wasn't too 🔥 hot!

Myself and a friend went for afternoon tea and spa day. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were all lovely, facilities clean. Massages were great.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel reception and were shown to the Spa. Staff were pleasant and efficient. The swimming pool was not busy and was great for a refreshing swim.
We both had 2 Elemis treatments - massage and foot massage for me - massage and facial for my friend. Our therapists were very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa experience. Peaceful, comfortable relaxation room.
Sparkling afternoon tea was delicious and served by very courteous, pleasant staff.
All in all a fabulous experience. Thanks to all staff concerned.

Had a lovely spa day experience with my mum. We started with an afternoon tea, it was fine. Then we headed downstairs to the Spa. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I used the gym and it was great. The treatments were great. We had a lovely afternoon.
The downside to the experience was the coffee wasn’t very nice, expected better. The pool was pretty cold. There were swimming lessons on at the same time that we were using the facilities which wasn’t ideal (no one informed us of that at time of booking). There is only a pool and a sauna so it wasn’t quite the Spa Experience we had in mind. Maybe I should’ve researched more, I like a steam room and a jacuzzi aswell. Also the beds were like 3/4 size beds…they were lacking in length and they were right next to the poolside so everyone had to squeeze past you.
It looked like the refurbishment wasn’t fully complete. The toilet in the ladies changing room did not have a toilet seat. The other toilet did not have hand drying facilities in it (towels or air dryer).
We used the relaxation room before our treatment. There were no cups for the drinks on offer. The fruit bowl had 2 x apples in it and a dirty smeering of fruit juice. It was clear no one had been in to the room to maintain it. All the used cups were still sitting beside the beds that had clearly been used. We couldn’t use the room after our treatments because they were locking up.
With all the options available in the area I don’t expect we will return anytime soon.

We had a lovely time at the Marriott. We used the pool and the sauna before afternoon tea with Prosecco and then excellent treatments -a mini facial and back and neck massage.

The environment was shabby. The pool was being used for children's swimming lessons and so noisy. The treatments were poor. The therapist was rough. Basically it was not a spa day and was a waste of money

This is the 2nd spa day I've had at the Holyrood. It was lovely and relaxing. Treatments were really great. Spent time in the relaxation room after the treatments before going for afternoon tea. We then made use of the swimming pool. We were there all day before heading to the theatre at night.
