I had the crispy pork belly which was a bit tasteless. I had a T bone steak which although tasty was not as good as the one I had on my previous visit. I was a bit disappointed with the £42 steak.
My wife was delighted with her ox broth and bread. Similarly her Sunday Roast was excellent especially the ox cheek. However she thought the roast beef had an odd taste that she could not determine what it was.
The service was excellent and could not be faulted. The young ladies serving were very attentive.
Finally my wife liked her French Martini but I was disappointed with the alcohol free IPA which was quite disgusting.
Overall a 3.5 out of 5

Our booking was for a family celebration which I had flagged up in advance. We were shown to our table and the server then produced glasses of fizz on the house to get the celebration underway.
The starters were delicious and the ribeye steaks melted in the mouth. There was a wide range of puddings available and luckily enough we had left room for them.
One helpful feature was that all dishes were clearly marked as being gluten free and the staff was well aware of cross contamination which was reassuring.
Our server was an American medical student at Glasgow University and she helped make it special occasion. 😊👍
