Great wee experience for kids but directions weren’t easy to follow

The experience as a whole was disappointing. There were no directions to where we had to go, the light show was a 10 minute walk around with some fairy lights and the train was a 10 minute journey then into a tent to watch a 3D video which looked a bit hazy in places then we had to go collect our hot chocolates. As 6 adults and 2 two year olds we paid £112 and felt it was overpriced for what it was. It definitely wasn’t what we expected from reading the event information. I think Crieff Hydro should improve this for next year with all the profit they will have made on this year!

The penguins to help kids skate should be included, was unaware these needed to be booked and paid for separately on arrival, by the time our turn came they were all sold out. Should have one for each kid under a certain age and cap it for each session to ensure a kid gets it. Can’t believe not included for the price!

We enjoyed the pantomime at Crieff Hydro. What was really disappointing is that family room accommodation was not available for one night only. The majority of people going to a pantomime will have children and require a family room. Originally these tickets were only available through Itison, which was fine as they offered accommodation via Itison at the time however after purchasing a voucher family room not available. I contacted Crieff Hydro last week as they were sending out emails advertising pantomime tickets and an overnight Winter Wonderland stay. Although a family room was available on 22nd when our tickets were for, we had to take a room for two nights at a cost of £450. We were travelling from Glasgow with our granddaughter and could only stay one night. I have given feedback to the hotel but would be good if Itison were able to do the same. We stayed at Dunblane Hydro (17mls away) and it was fabulous. Crieff Hydro looked lovely but the booking system and forcing you to take two nights even a week before means I would choose Dunblane Hydro in that area in future. This is by no means a reflection on Itison who are a brilliant company I use regularly.

This was by far one of the most entertaining Pantomime's I have ever seen. The cost was amazing for a 2 hr show (including interval). We were 2 adults and 2 boys aged 10. It was interactive and the humour was spot on for all ages. Lots of adult humour in there too that obviously went over the kids heads but was extremely funny.
As for the performers, their acting, comedy and singing were top class and the whole show was up to date and very well put together given what they had to work with. They were very professional and knew how to engage with an audience. Boys loved the cake making part and the super soaker! Would definitely recommend this Pantomime and will be booking again for next years if it’s on again and spreading the word.

We visited the ice-skating and santas grotte which my children thoroughly enjoyer.
The penguin skating aid at the ice rink should have been free. To charge £5 to borrow one for 45 minutes was excessive as children need these to be able to enjoy the activity.
I felt that the santa grotto experience was quite short and the elves put on more of a show than santa but the room was beautiful and Santa looked fabulous. I felt like we should have been able to take our own photos and use a photographer if we wanted to as this is an additional cost when the activity already cost enough money.

Ice skating was very busy too many people allowed on at the same time. Ice could have been a bit better needed a sweep too much snow on the top. All be it the kids had fun.
