Lovely hotel in a very central location. However , it is greatly let down by the staff (not all but most ) At check in , the manager was very helpful and explained the lift was broken and asked would we be ok with the stairs . This was ok for us but there were a lot of other customers who struggled . We had an issue with the room with something not working but the manager quickly sorted this . The room was large and lovely and clean with a fan if we were too hot , the window also opened which was nice ! We attended an evening function which was an absolute shambles and staff were rude and did not speak or interact , so much so that we all left early ! The food was lovely with the exception of breakfast as three times we went back and the buffet was empty as was the bread and juice was empty and no one there to ask to top up and no explanation of breakfast given and looked like one member of staff trying to do everything ! Reception staff were lovely but would not stay again sorry

We arrived in the middle of winter. Told reception within an hour of arrival, heating was not working in our room. After over half an hour no response, we had to phone reception again to get someone to come to the room. Eventually someone turned up to confirm heater was not working, and proceed to give us a small fan heater. Not very satisfactory considering we were in a deluxe room. Will not be back.

We had a room that was not very clean, the fan in the bathroom was thick with dirt. and no shelf to put shower to put any thing on. ,The bedside tables was disgusting jammed up the side of the bed.
We did complain and was moved to a much better room, infact it looked like the room we had seen on itison. The first room did not match the picture.
Breakfast was a hit and miss, food not very hot and had to ask for the veggie sausages which took ages to come , In fact our b fast was finished when they came with the sausages.
The staff on the reception were quick to act on our room what was a plus.
Would we stay herre again not sure maybe if we got room 109.
