We enjoyed the afternoon tea was lovely, and the staff were friendly. On arrival we were offered tea or coffee which came promptly, however the hot savouries were very slow to arrive. Unfortunately we were the only couple in the restaurant, so lacked any atmosphere. We would return though.

Beautifully presented savoury course but could have eaten more. 1 finger sandwich, 1 finger toasted sandwich, sausage roll, garlic bread with salad topping & soup in a shot glass. This was followed by a scone (with jam & cream), a brownie, small cheesecake & red velvet cake. We have been for Afternoon Tea before & the portion size has reduced considerably. It was however worth the money although I wouldn’t have paid full price.

We were greeted by reception staff who pointed us to the Restaurant. Staff receiving very friendly and helpful. Foods very tasty and plentiful. Though not on a tiered serving plate does not detract from quality and quantity of foods. Delicious!. Teas and coffees free flowing. Well done again Richmond Park Hotel.

Never been here before and we are quite partial to an Afternoon Tea so picked this place as a treat for my stepmum’s Birthday. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Decor very fitting and had a lovely view across the Forth however the proof would be in the pudding (no pun intended). Hand on heart I can say that this was the best tasting Afternoon Tea so far (and we’ve had a few). You would need to go by far to beat it. The quality of the food was superb and the soup was out of this world as was the cheese toastie! All food was fresh and prepared on the premises. To make our day the staff overheard it was for a birthday and brought a plate with strawberries and cream with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. Lovely touch my the staff and made her day special. Compliments to the staff and the chef and we will most certainly be back for more.

Excellent service. So, so tasty food. Variety of items on savoury and sweet plates wonderful. Had to ask for a recipe as from the chef as best I had had. Not say as wouldn’t want to spoil anyone’s visit. Well done all at Richmond Is ark.

We have been before a few times & always thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea. Mainly because there was more hot treats. But we were so disappointed when only the sausage roll was hot. Prefer plainer fillings in sandwiches too. Every pot of tea we had was warm. On the plus side, the waiter was very good & the sweet plates were lovely.

The lounge of the hotel is beautifully decorated and has a fabulous raised outlook over the river.
The food was delicious with scones to die for! Best scones I’ve ever had.
Service was very helpful and accommodating. Friendly staff even when we asked to move to the lounge from the bar. Nothing was too much trouble. Young man serving in the lounge was super helpful even to the extent of looking up landmarks on the opposite side of the river.
Only downside was lack of choice of sandwich fillings. Chicken and mango chutney and tuna were the offerings. Not to everyone’s taste. Might be better with a small choice maybe ham, cheese.
