As we have stayed before we knew what to expect and it didn't disappoint. Food was lovely and there was a good choice of ales . We enjoyed our chats with the locals who pop in for lunch etc.

The dining tables are far too close to each other, conversation at meal time is difficult as everyone on either side can hear your conversation also the gap between the dining tables is so narrow that exiting is difficult.

Lovely Inn in tiny village in rural setting. We were always greeted warmly. The room was spacious and cosy. The food was really nice, both breakfast and dinner. Staff and owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our dog was also treated well. Would definitely go back

It surpassed all our expectations, although in all fairness we knew that it would be good due to it winning pub of the year, which we can see why it was awarded that. The food was of the highest quality with a great choice in the menu. The staff were so friendly with nothing being a problem. A brilliant atmosphere, very clean and warming room which made you want to stay in it. Far better equipped than some hotels we have stayed in. Finally, the breakfast was superb which for us is very important, and a well stocked bar with some lovely whiskeys. What more do you want!!! We will definitely return. If you have never been then give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

From start to finish our stay at the Cross Keys was excellent. Room was neat but bed comfortable and bathroom perfect. The food was great and the atmosphere was of a local community based pub.
Fabulous.

The hotel was great with friendly stall and amazing food. A wee bit remote but within easy reach of the border towns by car. A relaxing area for guests to sit, chat read etc that wasn’t in the bar/ restaurant would have been a welcome addition.

Situated in a very small hamlet it is very quiet and peaceful and a great place to return to after a day's holidaymaking or even work! There's no need for outside attractions because they're all in-house even if you have to make them yourself by reading your book or phone if you must, talking to other guests, locals and staff all of whom are veryfriendly and efficient.
