When l arrived they wanted the £79 l said it's been paid to itison. Had dinner then ordered cheeseboard said to the server l didn't want (blue cheese) blue murder just to give me either the brie or Kintyre cheese instead. It came by the owner with it l said l hadn't wanted it it's a waste she replied Well you have it now more or less to get on with it.
At breakfast she really hadn't asked me what l wanted couldn't wait to give me a coffee before even sitting down l asked for a breakfast to go she said she will give it raw and she did no egg with it.
I never had a shower as it was too cold but when l went up to the room she had been in as she never closed the door properly. I was in the toilet and she came into the room speaking away I replied am in the toilet. Then she had came back wondering why l wasn't out? I said it's not until 12 noon she said no it's 11 as need the room to be cleaned for people going in by 12 (it's 3pm check in) l had to show her the voucher she said she will have a word with itison they are wrong. The last time l gave her £10 tip this time nothing. Oh! and all the time when eating my dinner my mouth full kept on asking if am alright her obviously seeing l was, that was the only conversation she had with me but spoke to others in there.

We had a lovely short stay in the Aberlady Inn. Our food was really good and the staff were helpful and friendly.
The room was small, but had everything we needed and was very clean. A bit cold when we arrived (it was exceptionally cold outside), but it soon heated up and the lovely open fire downstairs while we had dinner made up for that.

We really enjoyed our stay at the inn . Breakfast provided was very good . We also dined in restaurant one night and food was lovely .
Marked 4 stars as the road was noisy outside inn which woke us up early . Sadly can’t do anything about the road . Would definitely recommend the inn in spite of this

We had a lovely time at the Old Aberlady inn . Staff were great and they all made our dog welcome too. The food in the bar was really good and very well presented. Aberlady is a lovely village and is a good base to travel from.

It is the second time we have stayed. As an old building, the rooms aren't big but they have all that you need. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stairs were difficult to manoeuvre especially with luggage.
The en suite door in our room was a sliding door which did not close properly due to not hanging straight.
Only parking was on the Main Street, so could be hit or miss. There was parking on both sides of the road which was also a bus and through route!
The staff were welcoming and helpful and the food was excellent.
Not the best choice for an 80th birthday treat!
