We stayed in one of the cottages on the resort. Two bedrooms and well furnished and equipped. Great option for us as we had our dog with us. Many good walks within the vicinity. Varied styles of accommodation available on site to suit must people’s preferences. Spa has indoor and outdoor pools which was good. Lovely restaurant with good food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our two night break. Would certainly return.

Great break from start to finish. Our room ( lodge room 10) was lovely and had beautiful views out the aspect windows. Spa was so relaxing and the food both at dinner and breakfast was first class.
All staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Accommodation was great and food was excellent though you could do with another coffee machine.

The location was excellent, the reception was not the best welcome, the room was spacious, very clean, well maintained and plenty of accoutrements. The spa facilities were well worth the trip, relaxing and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The evening meal was disappointing, the batter on the fish was thick and greasy, the monk fish was overcooked and not good value for money. However the staff were great and surprisingly the breakfast was excellent.

From arriving to departure everything was perfect. We stayed in studio 4 on a bnb basis but had dinner in the restaurant on the 1st night. The food and wine was really nice and the staff very friendly and attentive. It was an anniversary celebration and the staff left a card and chocs for us which was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
The studio was lovely and fully equipped with
everything you would need. It was sparkling clean as was the whole resort.
The reception staff were excellent and very helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend Portavadie, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Thanks to all concerned x

Spread out all over the old yard seems a bit weird and I felt I was back at Nigg Bay. The Restaurant and bar is modern architecture design which is fine if you like that . We would have preferred an old country Inn effect . The food was good staff friendly. The highlight is the outdoor jacuzzi’s and pool. Unfortunately on our visit weather was overcast and rain however must be a pleasant experience with better weather. There’s a fish farm just off the shore with boats shuttling about giving a factory feel to the Bay. A walk along the shoreline revealed some stunning rock formations if you have an interest in geology.
