Rather disappointing visit. Separate menu for voucher holders which I feel negates the point of a voucher. I have been here before with a voucher and the experience was wonderful with the same service as everyone else. This time was a polar opposite. Despite the tea room not being busy, the staff weren't attentive at all and didn't check up on us once, not even to order more tea. We had to ask for milk for our tea after waiting thinking it would come. The scones had been over heated in a microwave and were solid. Not the standard of service I expect from Cup and certainly not worth the price.

Have been to both Cup on Renfield street and Merchant City before and have always been impressed but this time we were very disappointed. The sandwiches had barely any filling, the cakes were not fresh, no coffee refills were given. We had to wait 20 minutes for our coffee and had finished them long before the food arrived. There was very little to eat and we ended up leaving hungry. Wouldn’t go back. On the plus side staff were friendly

I’ve now been to Cup for afternoon tea/breakfast using Itison on five or six occasions and I’m not sure I’ll hurry back. The savoury items offered were poor as were the sweet ones. Only the scones were good. Only one cup of coffee offered which I believe never to have been the case before. Cheap fragrance free hand soap in the toilet. The afternoon tea experience was overall poor despite the Itison price. Sorry.

The afternoon tea was fine. The Prosecco was very good. My sister walks with a rolater. She had to go downstairs to the toilet. There was not even a hand rail for part of the way. They kindly took her down the staff stairs. It is not really suitable for disabled people. It is a listed building so may be difficult to put a lift in. They should have a hand rail all the way down the stairs.

Better tasting coffee, better tasting juice, 3 savouries (as it used to be) instead of 2, Stornoway black pudding used instead of cheaper version.

First of all we came in we asked for a table for two and they sat as in the middle of the room. It was a bit uncomfortable because there wasn’t a lot of space and there were tables very close to us. We asked to move to a different table, but they said no, they don’t have any other tables available. This made us a bit uncomfortable. Sugar wasn’t available on the table. We had to ask for tea separately. This isn’t our first time at CUP and last time they were so welcoming and attentive but the standards failed to meet expectations at Renfield street.

Always loved this place. But recent visit was disapointing. Everything feels less knowledgeable, no explanation on menus or from staff. Menu limited, staff seemed to stressed. Owner/manager just seemed to.be interested in getting folk in and lost the whole point of gin 71. Everything seemed on the cheap, less class. Little things light flight menu, print of menus and staff knowledge of drink etc. Definitely will not return. Major disappointment.
