Dalmahoy is a great hotel. Second time we've been there. Don't think it will be our last.
Unfortunately both of us were a bit under the weather when we were there. (Nothing to do with the hotel) so unable to enjoy the lovely food, drink and leisure club

The day we arrived the bar was closed for an event. That was disappointing.
Our room was a bit tired. The skirting boards were all chipped I’m guessing from the hoovering. Our safe didn’t work. The bathroom again was dated. The heating was quite noisy. We turned ours off but still heard the noise.
The shower pressure was great. The pool and spa are was lovely. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the walk and had a sit in the ‘hide’. We saw 2 different hare and lots of deer. We expected it to be quite posh with amazing food but actually it was not. The food was fine but not really wow!

The hotel was very big and busy, the room was comfortable, and a great location for going to the airport next day. The spa pool was a decent size with a swimming lane, but quite busy with families. Good sauna. Our meal and breakfast were good, but the gluten and dairy-free options for the main course were none. I was offered the coconut prawn curry without the sauce i.e. prawns and rice! I had to pay extra for a steak and had chips. My main complaint is that you are asked to give your dietary requirements when you book, but they don’t pay any attention to it. If I was going again I would phone ahead and make sure there will be something on the menu that I can eat.

Staff were friendly and polite. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was lovely and very comfortable with a view of the lovely wooden squirrel. Food was also lovely although breakfast was very busy and a lack of communication at breakfast made it a bit stressful but luckily Steven, the duty manager intervened and saved the day with his excellent customer relation skills
