We arrived at Fishers hotel and were told that we had been upgraded, was that alright? If certainly was! We had a beautiful room with twin beds and two, yes two shower rooms! One each. The food and entertainment was wonderful, the beds were really comfortable (best nights sleep I've had in ages) and the breakfast was delicious 😋. When we checked out we asked if we could leave the car in their car park and do a bit of shopping and were assured that this was fine. Nothing was a bother to the staff who were very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be back

Had a great time our first Murder mystery night.
The Service and selection of food on offer was good.
The Event itself was quiet well paced and enjoyable, the Actors were funny and very approachable, only one thing of the act could do with is remorte microphones, as well as the actors were at projecting their voices some times you couldn't hear them and missed the clues of the "who done it" as the hall gets noisy as the night gets on.
The hotel were great when I asked for an accessible room, we got the 1st room closest to reception. But for the Event we got the farthest away table in the ballroom. Not very good when you have mobility issues. And the chairs in the ballroom weren't the best very low, felt like we were sitting on the floor.
I would definitely consider returning for a murder mystery night, and even dress up for the theme of the night.

The hotel itself is lovely and traditional. Location is fab. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and equipped with everything you need - even an iron and ironing board! It was a lovely stay and I’m sure I’ll be back.

We have done several murder mystery nights here and always enjoyed them and always book an extra night where we preferred the breakfast menu as opposed to buffet, but think buffet is good for murder mystery night, tho rather busy.

This was the 4th Murder/Mystery event we went to in the last couple of years. The hotel and the staff are lovely and the hotel perfectly situated in the middle of the town. The food is always lovely and plentiful. However the event was seriously overbooked and it was long tables very close together instead of usual round tables for 8. I personally couldn't turn my seat round to see behind me and as I have mobility problems, so that was very uncomfortable. People did not respect the actors when doing their part, they were shouting and chatting at their tables even though they were asked several times to be quiet. It was more like a Christmas Party night out for some, get legless, and the lady behind my daughter lay sprawled across the table towards the end. Such a pity because we have visited Fishers for years and never seen a night like it. I would still visit the hotel as it is such a charming place to stay and the afternoon tea is great too. Would maybe not go back to a Murder Mystery though. Was told they knew that people weren't happy about the seating and on checking out a lady was asking for their money back.
