Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Breakfast skillet had clearly been made early in morning and kept under hot plate. Our potato scones were stoating.
Tea and coffee was served tepid. Asked for water & napkins which were forgotten about until i asked another server. Scones were tasteless and not fresh.
The brownie was delicious 😋
Sorry, don't like to leave a negative review however this was our experience.
Expected more from such a beautiful hotel.

Previously left a five star afternoon tea review but this morning tea was not so good.
Booked 11.45. Items not as fresh as they could be.
Doubt I will book morning tea again.
I fed back on the day and complete the lodge on Loch Lomond feedback so hopefully they can make improvements with the comments received.
I would go for afternoon tea and I would recommend afternoon team but I would not be recommending a booking at 11.45 for morning tea.

A great idea as a change from afternoon tea. Food was of a high standard and beautifully presented.

Was looking forward to Lodge on Loch Lomond we have been a few times always lovely staff very friendly, breakfast was not good as if it had been lying on a hot plate bacon was so hard potato scone was so hard we couldn’t cut it and the black pudding was very dry the scones were nice .
Presentation was lovely but food let them down left us a bit disappointed because we have been before I would go back as hope this was a one off.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of our afternoon tea on Tuesday. The food was fresh & delicious…a small dish with breaded cheesy bites/ meat sausage roll, along with 3 finger sandwiches each. There was also a scone each (with a pot of jam & clotted cream) & 5 bite sized tasty sweet treats. We could have had top ups of our tea & coffee, if needed. The service was fantastic, the girls were friendly, courteous & very attentive. Our table was right next to big windows looking out to the loch, which was lovely to view. We will definitely dine here again.

For £39 we expected more. 4 sandwich solders that included egg & tuna, a couple of small sausage rolls, 2 scones, 1 jam, 1 clotted cream and some cakes. I could have made a better afternoon tea on my own. You’re obviously paying for the Loch Lomond views. Lovely hotel that we have stayed in a couple of times, but I wouldn’t buy the afternoon tea again. There’s better out there on Itison for less.
