Food was lovely but took around half an hour for our Sunday Roast to be brought out. Also forgot about our tea/coffee as part of the voucher we used.

1st time in Bar and Tender, and won't be the last. We had the Sunday roast, which was delicious. We then shared the cheesecake dessert, absolutely divine. A work of art, and delicious too.
We were served by a delightful waitress, who is certainly a huge asset to this restaurant.

Wow! The best Sunday roast we've had in a long time. The food was 10/10 and we had to stop ourselves from licking the plates - yum! We'd never heard of Bar & Tender and are so glad we found it through itison, it's already been recommended to a few of our friends. We'll absolutely be back, but did want to share a couple of bits of feedback in the hope it's helpful... We found the music quite off-putting, we probably would've had another drink and sat for longer but there was a kind of reggae-covers style playlist on that didn't suit the restaurant and was distracting and not enjoyable, we visited on Sun 18 Feb. We were also pretty set on ordering a couple of desserts but nothing on the menu inspired us, it all sounded quite refined and was tropical themed (one dessert with passionfruit, another with kiwi, etc.). Something chocolatey would've been a dream but we ended up going without. Regardless, we'll be back soon and are looking forward to trying the main menu!

The tomahawk steak is to die for, get it you wont regret it!!! The starters and sides are amazing too, didnt have one bad thing to eat and the service was 10/10. Asked the waitress a good few questions about the food because it was so different to anything we had before and she knew all the ingredients and how things were made - impressed!

The food was service was underwhelming - Confusion with itison voucher and lack of atmosphere in the place. Interior was lovely.

We went for a Sunday Roast for 2. The food was delicious, from the juicy beef fillet to crunchy yorkshire pudding, we thoroughly enjoyed the food.
However upon payment, we were asked to pay a 10% service charge calculated from the payment that we paid on Itison. We don't have any problems paying a service charge, we always leave a tip in restaurants. However this is the first time where we've had the service charge calculated from a payment that wasn't made in the restaurant. Usually when you buy a voucher it should just be that payment that you made online, without further obligations. So for that reason, we won't return as the pricing technique feels predatory.
