Unfortunately my experience at Taypark House did not live up to my expectations. The room was extremely dusty and various other issues which I have pointed out to the management via the review. Although location was good Taypark House in my opinion and from my experience needs a bit of TLC.

Excellent food. A beautiful setting, so close to the city centre but still a peaceful oasis. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We did not enjoy it. Service was slow, they lost our desert order and after asking 2 members of staff about it - the first one did nothing at all and the second one we asked twice about it finally came back and told me I couldn’t get the cheese board as they had ran out of cheese!!!. Our second morning breakfast we were told they had ran out of orange juice pastries and toast, this was at 9am and breakfast was on till 11am. Overall the hotel is very tired looking and needs a huge upgrade. Our shower leaked and a lot of mould round the bottom. A few stains on the carpet too. We are very disappointed to have spent £199 for this experience on our wedding anniversary weekend.

Taypark House Hotel is lovely inside, our room with en suite was very spacious. Beautiful surroundings with pretty gardens and lots of outdoor seating.
The evening meals and breakfast were excellent! Would thoroughly recommend.

I had a wonderful birthday at Taypark house the food was wonderful and the whole place had a fabulous atmosphere with all staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
The only disappointment was when my daughter booked it she booked 2 nights bed breakfast and dinner for my birthday only to find that the voucher only included 1 nights dinner, I think it should make it plain this was dinner for only 1 night. As that was an extra £114 on my bill for three dinners on the first night before my daughter’s husband joined us on the last day. As I said previously the end was a bit surprising as expecting a much lower bill.

This is a small hotel with very helpful & friendly staff. The room we had was really large with a beautiful bathroom including separate bath & shower. It was lovely & quiet despite being near a main road. Rooms on the 2nd floor may be smaller. Food was of a high standard. Only negative was that bar area was quite small & was noisy when we were there. A few small issues with room but nothing too major.

Unique hotel with fun extras such as the outdoor pods, pizza oven and bar. Everything was great on arrival our room was huge with a roll top bath. The food was amazing with a great selection for dinner and breakfast. The staff where all helpful and friendly especially as we had our dog with us. Would recommend it for a short break and like to go back in the summer months.
