Very much enjoyed relaxing escape in lovely surroundings. Even better experience than a few months ago.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable.
Food enjoyabe though evening meals a little pricey for limited chouce and small portions.
Only thing that marred stay slightly was a group of 4 noisy , dominating adults who inconsideratly spoiled the peaceful ambiance earlier in the drawing room.

We had a wonderful stay - in fact we have booked to return. Food is absolutely amazing with a comprehensive wine list. Rooms are lovely and spacious and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

A major benefit apart from the above is that we can take our dog.

Staff very helpful & welcoming.
Food excellent
Only problem was the room was excessively hot through the night due to the water pipes which run under the floor keeping the room very warm. Even with windows open the room stayed warm.

We have stayed at Ballathie House on many occasions.I cannot stress how much we enjoy it.I have been saddened to read some negative comments regarding the hotel and how it requires refurbishment.I totally disagree as it is an old country house hotel which is why it’s charm endears me.If people want modern and chic choose hotel chains which are pretty much the same across the board. We walk into Ballathie and are greeted by the staff as though we were the only guests there.Nothing is too much bother. The rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are super comfortable and food is absolutely amazing.I have introduced Ballathie to our family who agree which makes Birthday and Christmas gifts really easy.Cant wait to return.

Friendly staff. Food was rather overpriced and the mark-up on the wines was ridiculous. Breakfast eggs (fried and poached) were left out too long and became inedible. Rooms are comfy and well appointed.

Accommodation was ideal with fabulous views.
Staff very helpful, even suggesting walks for our group.
One downside was limited choice of casual dining options.
That said the steaks were enjoyed and perfectly cooked.
Overall a very enjoyable experience and the sun shone highlighting the autumn colours.

We were staying in the Riverside rooms with a lovely view of the river Tay. Room was comfortable and clean which was serviced while we were at breakfast in the main house. Great location for exploring the wider area, plenty of historic places to visit.

We enjoy staying here. Although not far from the central belt, it seems a world away. Peaceful and restful. The dog loves staying there also. Staff make a fuss of us and the dog.
