We loved our visit to the Village Inn. Great setting for walks to or around the Cobbler. Really cosy bar area and rooms. The food was good enough and the staff really friendly. Breakfast was really generous too. We had taken our dog so ate in the bar, which I really liked .

We were looking for somewhere dog friendly, so managed to get this inn on the loch with an annexe at the back (they called it a cottage)
It was on the flat and had its own front door, so this was excellent for late night/early morning quick pee pees for dogs.
There were 6 coathangers in room, but they could have done with coat hooks and shoe racks in vestuble as well to keep the one inside for clothes.
The road along the front of the inn was well lit at night too.
You could take the dogs into the bar at night or bar for breakfast, but quite correctly, not into the restaurant.
The menu was good in the restaurant and food to a good standard. Breakfast was frozen sausage me thinks and no pastries or yogurt, so pretty basic and you had to go back snd forth from restaurant to bar as you carried your own cereal or coffee. We chose to eat breakfast in the restaurant on day two without the dogs for this reason.
Bar staff, waitresses, hotel manager Jamie were all very pleasant and talkative. We were only half an hour from Glasgow and half an hour from Inveraray. A lovely relaxing break. Thank you

Been to the village Inn many times over the years
Bar and restaurant is amazing, rustic look, just what you want from a 1700,s building. Management and Staff are so friendly, food excellent, views of the loch and mountains are spectacular!

This was our fist stay at the Village inn and it won’t be the last. It was a lovely break.

The staff were lovely but unfortunately my room was not very clean and the food, which in previous times I've enjoyed, was really bad.
