A pleasant afternoon tea themed around Edinburgh literary themed characters or writers from Robert Burns and Walter Scott to Irvine Welsh and Harry Potter.
The savoury selection had both hot and cold items, highlight was the haggis Bon Bon. The scones were nice and the sweets were creative with our favourite being the Rob Roy inspired chocolate creation.

What a super afternoon we had at One Square! The authors' afternoon tea was imaginatively served and delicious and our waitress, Abbey, was friendly and professional. We'll be back for seconds!

No flexibility on food offered. I advised pre booking that I did not want meat and also advised the staff member on arrival. Regardless meat roll was served up. Also the sandwiches served in both boxes were dried up with stale bread . That said everything else was very nice.

We enjoyed a delicious themed afternoon tea with Prosecco. The service was great also.

The whole idea of the literary tea was different and well executed. The cakes, in particular, looked stunning and were as delicious as they looked.

We loved the literature theme and the stories in relation to each piece of food. The flavours were delicious and the presentation excellent.
The loose leaf teas were nice but the Jasmine Jing Sparkling drink was awful and looking around it appeared others agreed.

We had an Afternoon Tea with Prosecco. It arrived in an ornate mirrored box and inside were mouthwatering savouries. Cakes and scones arrived on a beautiful cakestand ~ I say cakes but that doesn't do them justice ~ tasty morsels in the shape of swans?? Amazing! Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
