The hotel is in such a picturesque setting that it even made the long drive from the main road well worthwhile . The food and staff were faultless . Nothing was too much trouble. The building itself could do with a little tlc and freshen up but is quaint, quirky and has real character .

The room was large and comfortable. Our dog was made very welcome. Staff were friendly and helpful and food very tasty. The hotel grounds were enjoyable to walk around in the sun

Fabulous remote location and quirky cool hotel.
Nice spacious eastern themed room with great loch views.
The service from the staff , especially Jake and Dawn, was exemplary and as it was a quiet spell pre Hallowe’en, we felt we had individual attention.
Limited evening menu had enough choices for 2 nights and the breakfast selection was great.
The hot water took a while to reach our room but was plentiful once it arrived.
We’ll be back and would recommend this hotel.

Not our first visit, nor our last.

Driving down through the garden towards the hotel was beautiful. The scenery was stunning. The hotel itself was decorated and furnished in a fabulously eclectic way. Loved the little touches like the ‘midgie repellent’ and free use of welly boots in the reception area. Our room looked down towards Loch Awe and had the most amazingly comfortable four poster bed. All the staff were brilliant. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was any trouble for them. We will be back!

Settees in the drawing room only worthy of going to skip. Old rusting cars caravans garden machinery lying a on the lane to honeymoon lodge. Cigarette ends lying around not a good impression. Champagne Afternoon tea really disappointing NO SCONES and when i asked for the coffee got a strange reply. The little glasses with unidentified filling had a very weird taste. I ended up with food
poisoning was it related.

We particularly enjoyed exploring the grounds. The hotel was a bit tired in places. There was a lack of little extras in the bedroom such as tissues. The staff especially Maxine was friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was well presented but the plates/ food was not particularly hot.
