We were warmly welcomed by Amarone staff and enjoyed our 3 course meal very much. Waiting staff were attentive

Our voucher was for a 3 course meal with a cocktail for 2. Nice cocktails but disappointing menu. Starters were okay but the choice of mains was disappointing. Cocktails and starters were served quickly but we had to wait 40 minutes for our mains to come. One dish was smoked chicken pesto pasta. There were 3 tiny bits of chicken in a flavourless pasta sauce which was cold on arrival. We were still eating our sweet when we were told they needed the table for the next customers! Extremely disappointing experience overall.

I went explained I have a voucher
We ended up not ordering from the special menu and paying as normal.
They had redeemed the voucher, but we didn't use it or receive any other discount.
They took my details to contact me but have failed to do so.
Disappointing and would advise others to be wary.

We shared a cheese and a meat platter with matching wine flight. Everything was excellent. Service attentive but not intrusive. Very good lunch experience.

Our main course and dessert were very good really enjoyed both courses. The bruschetta which looked appealing had very little taste which was the only negative.

Special Itison menu made things simple and all our choices were excellent. Would do it again if it fitted in with another Edinburgh trip.

Ideal location for meeting friends for lunch. Been previously and standards of service food etc still high

From the moment we just requested our cocktail which was part of the voucher and not wanting any wine we felt that we were not truly welcome, our starter and sweet were acceptable but both our main course meal was very bland and not to the standard we looked forward to. On completion of our meal no offer of aperative or coffee was made by any of the staff. No one either made any comment when we were leaving either. We felt that we were a hindrance to the staff. As regular diners out we will not go back to Amarones and would rather go to near by restaurants to be made much more welcome by friendly staff.
