It was our first visit to Cubatas and we had a really great time.
They were busy with a wedding downstairs, but despite this all the food was served in good time and the service was great.
We had 8 tapas dishes which was a lot for 2 people! everything we had was really tasty and well presented.
All the staff were very attentive and friendly.
We would definitely go back! :)

We arrived just at opening time on the Saturday. We were the only 2 in the restaurant.
We swapped our alcoholic drinks for a pint of coke and orange juice.
Very pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes, had to take most of the salad and paella home. Been to a few Tapas places in town and both of us agreed this was the best yet.
Although hubby found the paella a bit bland but I enjoyed it.
Would go back again, No qualms 😀

We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm and it was pretty empty, although people started coming in as we were there, so it may have just been that weird time. The first question we got was what voucher we had booked on, so I'm not sure if it was because of the time we came in or if most customers just use vouchers? The restaurant smelled VERY strongly of Indian food, which seemed a bit strange given that there was no Indian food on the menu.
They did serve Budweiser rather than San Miguel. The servers were lovely, but we really didn't like the food. The bread was definitely not artisan and served with bottles of balsamic and olive oil rather than a dipping bowl of oil and spices/herbs, and the garlic and chili prawns were horrifying spicy. My husband was pretty disappointed with the patatas bravas ; they were basically like parmentier potatoes but a bit crispy and with flavorless sauces. We quite liked the halloumi and sea bass, but it honestly felt a bit expensive even considering drinks were included because the food wasn't great. For even that low of a price, I think we would have been happier at a Wetherspoons. If we had paid full price I would have been furious, so I don't find much of a savings here to be honest. I really wouldn't recommend this place or this deal.

Food took a bit of a wait to arrive, when it did was very nice and some portions for tapas very big( goats cheese and beetroot salad and chicken/veg paella in particular).Paid a £3 supplement for rack of lamb which was worth every penny, couldn’t say the same for the supplement on the sea bass. Most welcome to get a quality white and rose on the deal we had. We had to ask for two desserts to take away as we were full. Had a little taste of the huge passionfruit cheesecake last night which was sublime.Brilliant deal with quality ingredients. We have purchased another voucher.

We couldn't fault the food or the service. The restaurant however has seen better days. It looked closed from the outside, rundown, and wasn't the cleanest once inside.

Food wasn't as good as past visits. I called on Friday to.book a table on Sunday and they did not have a record of my reservation although there was no need to book as we were the only 2 in the restaurant. What was once an outdoor space is now an Indian street food kitchen and were catering for this. Not really a Spanish tapas restaurant any longer.
