Loved seeing Edinburgh Castle at night. It was interesting and fun. Our drinks from the cafe were excellent.

This was a great event, well laid out and signposted with friendly and helpful staff. I wasn’t sure what to expect but my expectations were exceeded. It was informative and well presented for all ages. Would definitely recommend- we will return next year.

This was a strange mish-mash of history and blaring modern music. One projection, at the castle’s highest point, was mostly well done, but even there we were dazzled by flashing lights directed straight at the audience. The Castle is a wonderful place, but its walls are old and rough. Images such as maps of Edinburgh were lost on such uneven surfaces.
And why on earth was that ‘fashion show’ included?.

We had been the previous year ,but our grandchildren were wowed . They loved it all especially the cannon ,we hadn't seen that before - and the interactive Who are you . The light shows are fabulous and Rex wax a huge hit . The lady in the Great Hall was wonderful with everyone ,taking photos etc . It was a fantastic pre Christmas treat .

The event was fantastic with so much to do and learn. I must admit I was a little disappointed at the lack of anything "Christmassy" but there was a huge, beautiful tree in the grand hall.

Was looking forward to this having visited several projects on the front of the castle over the years. This was dreadfully disappointing. Edinburgh is a city with an abundant historical past and well known for so important historical events over the years. This was xxx barely touched on and what was the drag show all about ?
This event was overpriced at £22 per adult ticket . It’s over in roughly 40 mins. 2 marshmallows cost £4.50 an absolute disgrace. We were there on a Saturday evening and there were very few people there …. Not surprised tbh.
Come on Edinburgh you can do better than this . I certainly wouldn’t encourage or recommend others to spend their money on this .

I was fortunate to have a dry, reasonably warm and unwindy night. The 900th anniversary was well explained and at some points funny. A great history lesson given with lightness. The dancing Knights were hilarious. And the skating segment was lovely. The light experience on the building was really good. Bit of singing and dancing went on. In fact there was much singing and dancing throughout. The café was well appointed and the facilities clean. The shop was well stocked and the staff, as everywhere else very friendly and helpful. I personally couldn't think of anything, from my point of view as a reasonably agile 73 year old could be improved. But it's not for everyone who may have difficulties. Because of the steepness. I had a wonderful time and being able to look over the city with Christmas below me was very fine.
