Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. One star was removed for an absolutely sickening body odour smell from one of the waiters. This we did report to the Maitre ‘d but got the impression he wasn’t interested enough to do anything about it. Our table was situated directly in the path of his service and was positively making me feel nauseous every time he passed by. It has put me off returning to Amarone.

The cocktails and starters we had were lovely, but my pizza was awful. It has so much topping it was just very wet and soggy. Really not enjoyable. We were sitting right next to the waiters station and there was 6 or 7 staff members constantly passing our table. My scarf was knocked off the back of my chair twice. It felt like we were in a bus station. The fire door was also opened behind us which made it really cold. I let one of the waiters know and it was closed immediately, but then opened again 10 minutes later even wider. I had to sit with my jacket over my shoulders. It was a really disappointing experience.
