We had a large comfortable room facing the Main Street. The choice of meals on offer was varied. Food was excellent. The staff were great and couldn’t have been more helpful. Good location for visiting this area.

On arrival room was freezing cold however the heating was quickly on. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean. Food was good although same menu both nights. Overall a value for money stay.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Plough Hotel and would be happy to stay there again. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. My only grump is that the shower is over the bath, I have arthritis and found it difficult to climb into and out of the bath to use the shower, if my husband hadn’t helped me I would not have been able to use the shower. All of the staff at the Plough were very pleasant and we had no complaints at all about the service. Food was typical pub fare.

A small hotel in a pretty and rural village near the Tweed border with England. Very attractive location and close to the larger town of Kelso. Lots of interesting places close by. Comfortable room, nice bar and really good selection of food and drink.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break, the hotel suited us as they allow dogs and the staff were very friendly as were the regulars. The food was very good so we decided to eat there on our second night and as there was a pub quiz that night we and another couple of residents and really enjoyed it. It is deffinately worth a visit.
