We visited the White Goose last night and were so disappointed! Two meals were cold and two were not served as advertised (totally different to the menu description, and nothing like photos posted on their socials). The “loaded” fries included frozen chips with a few slices of steak dumped on top - no sauce or toppings. The steak pie looked like dog food with a credit card sized square of pastry on top.
The majority of our mains were left as it was that bad we couldn’t eat it. Avoid!

Bought the 2 course + drink but waitress wouldn’t allow us to swap it for soda despite me check with the restaurant and small print before hand. Steak pie and linguine was not well done that we only ate half of it. Glad we didn’t pay full price. Our mates orzo and steak had missing burrata and dip, wouldn’t come here again or recommend

We shared the blue cheese crab taco to start. It was delicious and very different. Hubby had Vietnamese meatballs and I had a Smokey cheeseburger for mains. Both excellent ( just too many chips with the burger) and a nice salad with the burger too.
Shared the crumble with ice cream to finish.
All excellent and couldn’t eat another thing. Served by a smiley and pleasant waitress. Lovely day out

When we walked in the front door the first thing that struck us was the relaxed atmosphere and settings , however that’s when it started to go downhill.
My wife ordered the soup, I chose the crab dish and although it was only 12.30 pm I was told unfortunately they had run out of crab,
The main course for me was 50% inedible having ordered the burger, the chips came completely saturated in black pepper and very salty, so could not eat them which was sad as they looked to be really well cooked.
When the server came to take the dishes away she said how was your meals, I said I couldn’t eat the chips, her reply was oh I’m sorry I’ll tell the chef and would like me to bring you more chips.
Needless to say we won’t be back , if who ever reads this post remember to ask please don’t serve black pepper with chips.
