Sandwiches poor, cakes 2 sponge cakes, 2 small macarons, 2 tiny jars for jam and cream to share for scones. Not value for money. Very dissapointed as this was treat for friend. Only saved by lovely staff.

When asked for earl grey tea was told “we only have normal tea, peppermint tea or some red fruity stuff”. Bread in sandwiches felt as though they had been prepared thst morning and left out. Scones were lovely but only enough jam and cream for one person. No soap in toilets.

My partner and I went for afternoon tea with a sharing cocktail. The food was tasty but we were told one of the sandwiches would be avocado and salmon, but when it came it was just avocado. When we asked another server if it was supposed to just be avocado, she tried to say it should be feta and avocado, but we pointed out that there was already a feta and red pepper sandwich. She then checked with the chef, came back, and said the ones we received were made up for a previous party that had dietary restrictions on salmon. She asked if we wanted to have them remake it with salmon, we said yes but she didn’t look happy. The first tea pot lid had the handle missing, it was quite cold and there was a leak, which went all over the table. We asked for a replacement and got one, but it wasn’t very hot either and the lid handle was snapped off again. The sharing cocktail also just tasted like vodka and orange juice, not sure what it was supposed to be. The food was really nice though, but we felt like the setting and service could have been a bit more polished.
