My first booking at Voyage of Buck will probably be my last, sadly. Not the staff's fault that we booked lunch on a rugby international day. However, having to struggle through the crowd at the bar to get our table was not a good start. There is virtually no separation between the bar and the eating area and the noise was deafening - so we had to shout to make conversation. The pub door was kept open 'to freshen the air' due to the crows so the restaurant was perishing, We kept our coats on throughout the meal.
The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was fine but the overall experience is not one I'd care to repeat.

The bar was packed with rugby supporters, but our table for 4 was ready on time. Great 4 course meal options - Not a large menu choice, but a great variety. We thought the feta appetiser was excellent. Starters of delicious salmon and partridge, followed by venison that was served rare and SO tender and tasty. Sticky toffee pud and lemon tart finished us off ! Attentive and friendly staff. A great afternoon
