First visit to Joia. I had read numerous good reviews on this restaurant but was looking forward to trying it out. Nice restaurant and good service. Unfortunately while the food was off decent quality overall, it was absolutely tasteless. We had a voucher for an Italian afternoon tea and ordered some extras - mozzarella frittas and la parmigiana. There were already mozzarella frittas in the afternoon tea which we didn't know and the water did not mention it to us either! Very small portion - 6 small cubes served with what can only be described as sieved chopped tomatoes posing as a tomato sauce/ dip both of which were tasteless. The aubergines in the parmigiana were leathery and difficult to cut with the knife. The afternoon tea looked great but as I mentioned bland- some bruschettas, a plate of olives with fried polenta, bread bites, fried padron peppers and a sweet plate with a selection of 3 sweets- a brownie bite, small Tiramisupot, and a small mousse pot. The fried plate was tasteless and not helped with not having a dip. The tiramisu was mostly mascapone cream with one cake finger and no coffee flavour whatsoever. Unlike every other place we went to for afternoon tea, Joia's deal only includes one hot drink per person rather than unlimited hot beverages so you have been warned! This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

Super afternoon tea. Second time we have done this and will certainly return again. Highly recommend the tomato pasta on the childrens’ menu…totally devoured by my 2 year old grandson! 👍🏼

Highly recommend high tea at Joia Italian Restaurant & Bar via the deal on at the moment - really good food, service & value and a bit different from your average afternoon teas with sandwiches etc. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would def book again.

I've been on Joia, so I knew their food is great already. I invited a few friends with me and they were all pleased.

The Italian afternoon tea was delicious. All of the main courses were amazing, a big shout out to the arancini with truffle and the pizza slices. The star of the show was the pistachio cream of the cannoli. A lovely afternoon and excellent value for money!
