Hotel reception excellent, room first class, dinner lovely. Breakfast was the only disappointment. The conservatory:room was freezing and consequently so was the breakfast. Choice was good but everything a cold and apart from the pastries and cereal inedible.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The room was very clean and well equipped and bed was extremely comfortable .
We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was very good. Breakfast was of good quality with plenty to choose from.
All staff were fantastic.

Had a lovely night away, amazing value for money also getting the free bottle of wine with dinner. Would go back! Perhaps the conservatory restaurant could do with a bit of a makeover, was very cold and grey at night and we actually asked to be moved back to the bar area for dinner as it had a better atmosphere. Food amazing though and couldn’t fault anything else

We attedat the Landmark hotel on 28th December 2023. We have stayed before and its been a lovely experience. This time however, it was quite stressful. I had been trying to phone the hotel 2 days prior to our stay to ask whether we could bring a guest (my 20yr old daughter) to use the facilities while we were there. I was unable to get through to the hotel on the landline provided on their website and on Google. The number was not valid. After 2 days I decided to scroll through Facebook to see if I could see contact details. There was a post staying the telephone number had changed!! Obviously it hadn't been updated on their website. I had also tried the mobile number and email address provided. Mobile rang out and no reply via email. I was starting to get concerned when I stumbled across an article stating the hotel had recently been bought over!
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. There is use of a gym (looks adequate - we didn't use it though) swimming pool (small) steam room and sauna. We asked for robes and were told there were none available and to walk through the hotel with a bath towel. We used the facilities around 8.30pm and both enjoyed them.
Breakfast was an absolute shambles! We arrived for breakfast at around 8.45-9am. It was absolutely heaving with people and there were no tables/seats to sit at. We stood for a while and eventually were able to be seated. We sat for a good 5-10mims and I had to ask a member of staff if they would please clean the table. It was fifty from the previous people. When we finally got up to get out food, there was no cooked breakfast, only mushrooms left. There were 2 members of staff on, who were completely rushed off their feet. Eventually another member of staff came to help. I assume bar staff? I approached members of staff at different intervals asking if there was anymore food being brought out a day was always given the same answer 'in a few minutes' One staff member abruptly told me 'we're busy and will answer you soon!' By this point, I had had a small glass of fresh orange and nothing to eat. The que for the 1 coffee machine was ridiculous too! At approximately 9.30am a fee things from the cooked breakfast were brought out; hash browns, sausages and bacon, still the same mushrooms. There were no pastries at all, and eventually muffins were brought through, I had 1, it was extremely dry. Breakfast was awful! We left eating area at 10am.
After breakfast we went back to use the facilities. The steam room was out of order.
All in all, our overnight was a bit of a disaster. I raised my concerns with the woman on reception who apologised and said she would contact Itison and ask for a refund of breakfast costs. Needlesstosay, I am still awaiting a refund.
Would I use this hotel again? Honestly I don't know. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes based on our 1st visit but absolutely not based on our 2nd visit.

The price was very fair, so can't complain too much. We had dinner, bed, breakfast and bottle wine for £119! Overall the hotel is in need of a bit of love. The bedroom was lovely, nice decor, spacious and had a bath. But the communal areas of the hotel are lacking. The bar area felt like a waiting room at a train station, dull decor, no atmosphere, we ended up sitting on the sofas in the reception area! The pool area/ changing rooms needing overhauled/updated/thoroughly cleaned. The pool is puddle size and not as big as it looks in the pictures online! Sat in steam room for 20 mins waiting on steam!
The service was good, all staff friendly and attentive. Food options were limited, but the food we ate in the evening was good. The cheesecake was amazing! The hotel needs a money injection, but times are hard for businesses and I understand this. As I said at the start, the price was good. My mum and I had a nice night away together, we were happy sitting in the room watching TV and drinking wine.
