We had a lovely stop off after the annual fireworks display and a long drive home.
The food was perfecrly prepared and very tasty. The new member of staff polite, personable and efficient.
This was our second time dining in Riva whilst visiting my home town. We will definitely be back again and a wee overnight stay might be on the cards too.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was cosy and welcoming. The meal was really enjoyable with good size portions. Would be happy to go there again.

Welcome and service were a bit lacking. Hadn't sat down and was asked for a drinks order. Then waited about an hour for pasta and pizza.
Pizza and chips were decent but carbonara was rotten. Sauce was watery instead of creamy. Staff were pleasant enough just not very present. Had to ask for more drinks.

A proper treat. Welcoming staff even though they were run off their feet. Lovely comfortable thoughtfully designed bedrooms. Wonderful rainfall shower. Food was excellent value (sea bass main course for less than £13!) and good quality. Cooked breakfast was good, egg especially good. Croissants on first morning were deliciously fresh but second morning were yesterdays leftovers. Which was a shame because the first days were so lovely but it was hardly a deal breaker. Couldn’t ask for more, well apart from the stairs which were a slight struggle for the less than able bodied (it’s a older building that clearly can’t accommodate a lift due to space restrictions) so it is what it is. But we managed ok. Oh and the cherry on the cake was the very warm welcome given to dogs which given the hotels proximity to the beach is brilliant and one other hotels really should take note of.
