Afternoon tea was nice, good choice of sandwiches. Maybe another savoury option be good as there are a few sweet treats. Check in again after an hour for tea top ups would be good.

Booking the afternoon tea was not the best, as I was told different things by different people. Firstly I was told plenty of spaces, then, no spaces left. All fairness to the management of Pittodrie House. They made space us and also gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco.
The food was delicious and plentiful. The table service was really good and I would definitely go back again.

We returned to Pittodrie House Hotel with our family as we got married there 32 years ago. We have always loved the setting and the lovely welcome you get on arrival.
The festive afternoon tea was delicious and will return soon in the near future.

We were welcomed politely and the staff were attentive throughout, but sadly the food was disappointing. The sandwiches were only ok, scones overdone and hard, and the cakes appeared to be a few days old. We probably ate only about half of the available food, and were left sadly unimpressed.

The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing. The selection of food was fine but some of the items didn’t seem to be freshly cut of prepared. Perhaps the tray had been sitting out for a while - eg. the bread, rolls and victoria sponge were dry. However the sausage roll and carrot cake were both good! The service was friendly but nobody came to check on us or ask if we needed anything.

My experience wasn't as expected. I believe there is scope for everything to be improved. The service was poor with staff being unprofessional and unattentive. There was no atmosphere with people visiting and leaving quickly which I suspect being down there being a lack of heating as it was really cold in the drawing room. The quality and presentation of our food was poor.
I am a regular visitor to Macdonald Pittodrie House and I have noticed a very steep decline in standards in recent months.
