Friendly welcome, warm cosy large bedroom. Plenty of hot water. Nice meal in the restaurant and good wine. Service was a bit slow as only 2 people waiting tables but it was fine as we weren’t in a rush. Breakfast a bit of a let down as baked beans had finished, menu was dirty with sauce spilt on it but waiter friendly enough. Let down a bit by the receptionist giving us wrong information to catch the bus to Edinburgh which meant we had 4 hours to wait as we missed a bus bring at the wrong stop tgen next one was 2 hours later

Our room was large and comfortable with a chilled bottle of prosecco waiting. Breakfast was a bit haphazard with the waiter seeming out of his depth but my husbands mushroom omelette was excellent. Porridge was inexplicably not available . Generally the staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at the Kings Arms Hotel. Staff were very welcoming and informative. Our room (although price of twin room was extra) was very spacious, clean and modern. Great to have breakfast served for a change instead of queuing up buffet style.

The outside of the hotel could do with a face lift. Went to reception early but before we could explain why, we were told to come back at 3pm! We only wanted to ask where we could park our car since spaces outside the hotel were restricted. Not the most welcome greeting from the lady at the desk.
There was only one waiter at breakfast, which meant service was slow.
The room was nice with lots of hot water, but poor internet and TV reception.

We booked in to stay here as part of a wee road trip.
The check in wasn't smooth to say the least.
The room was not cleaned prior to our arrival.
Having spoken to the Manager of this hotel she has apologised and offered us a free stay it's not anything we would consider.
She has said the pictures on ALL online sites are of room 6.
So if your staying be prepared to be in a room worlds apart from this stature unless u get that room.
Restaurant was busy and food was good.
We wished we had been to this place for a meal only because our views would've been very different.

Very enjoyable two night stay. First night included a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine, which were excellent.
Check in was easy and very pleasant, on entering room on second floor found the room to be a bit cold. Radiator was cold turned up thermostat then went for dinner. Asked at reception and was told they would check it out. Once meal was over receptionist informed us that two heaters had been put into our room. This sorted the issue out for us.
Breakfast was excellent, full English was one of the options we both enjoyed and struggled to finish what a plateful. Service and staff very attentive and happy to help.

We had a lovely stay in the Kings Arms. We’d a recently renovated superior room which was large with a huge bathroom incorporating a stand alone shows and a bath with shower. The hotel has plenty of relaxing spaces, as well as small coffee bar and Italian restaurant. Food was good and choices were available for breakfast. All staff were very friendly and helpful, it was our first visit and won’t be our last. Berwick has plenty of attractions, walks and small independent cafe, restaurant and shops. Well worth exploring 🥰
