Bookings must be made by 25th June or you risk forfeiting your voucher.
Regular evening sessions from 8.30pm onwards (from 10.30pm in June & July) – please contact observatory directly to discuss as timings will vary. Sundays are for group bookings only (min of 12 people so subject to availability).
The observatory is happy to accommodate late sessions if possible, please call directly to discuss.
Under 16s must be accommpanied by an adult.
Max number of people per session is 32.
Wheelchair access (wheelchair accessible stair lift and a ramp into the main dome).
Please wrap up warmly.
All events go ahead when it’s cloudy/rainy. If roads are impassable due to snow/icy conditions then events will be cancelled and your experience will be rescheduled. The observatory will contact you on the day if required. Cancellations will also be posted on their website, Facebook page and via Twitter.
No laser pointers permitted. Torches used at the observatory must have red filters and dim (during observing sessions).
The road to the observatory is rough, unfinished and steep in places. Whilst it is passable with ordinary vehicles, care must be taken. All vehicles are brought on to the site at your own risk.
Multiple voucher purchases permitted.
Advanced booking required. The beginning and end period of a voucher’s validity is always the busiest. We advise members to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 24 hours of your experience.
Vouchers must be surrendered for redemption; please print your voucher and bring along with you to avoid disappointment.
Voucher is not exchangeable for cash or valid with any other offers.
