Great hotel in great location

Great hotel in fabulous location, still a very nice hotel offering great value and with very friendly staff. Although rooms are getting a bit tired they are more than adequate, they are very clean and ideal for a base to explore the surrounding area. Very good breakfast, although the choice of evening meal was a tad on the expensive side for what you get. The two nights we were there, there was supposed to be entertainment in the bar, first night was excellent with a guy on guitar singing a good variety to suit all tastes, second night the act failed to appear, however there was a clown entertaining everyone with his ballon animal skills. Overall more than happy with our stay.

Value room, clean and just what was needed for quick overnight stop-off en route to the north.
Friendly welcome on arrival and a.treat box of Fudge.
Plentiful breakfast and friendly efficient restaurant staff.
Would have used the leisure facilities and late checkout if not eagre to hit the road pre the NC500 traffic.
